In broad daylight: Kid Acne
caught doing the courtyard at Archipelago
Kid Acne began writing graffiti aged twelve inspired by its infinite scale, colour and immediacy. Applying the same DIY
ethos to the rest of his output, Acne spent his teenage years creating an output of fanzines, posters, super 8 films and limited
edition 7"s. Acne's recent work has been exhibited throughout the world - with gallery shows from Helsinki to Melbourne,
commissioned murals from New York to Azerbaijan and a client base including Warp Records, Levis, Volkswagen, Fenchurch and
Prada. His illustrations have customised everything from pizza boxes and skateboards to ladies knitwear and bar interiors.
He is currently designing a range of his own toys with Kid Robot in NYC due for release in 2008, and earlier this year released
his first album with EMI / Lex Records 'Romance Aint Dead'.
